Whether you want to address acne, pigmentation, sun damage, or simply want to reverse the signs of aging, you will see stunning transformations through this line of powerful yet painless chemical peels.

What is a Vi Peel?

A Vi Peel is a medium-strength grade chemical peel that reduces the appearance of sun damage, aging (wrinkles, fine lines, uneven pigmentation, etc.,) and can also target acne by removing both the epidermis and the uppermost underlying dermal layers.

The Benefits of Vi Peels

Vi Peels include a variety of benefits* such as:
– Smoother, firmer skin appearance
– More youthful skin
– Clearer complexions
– Far less expensive with little downtime than laser resurfacing
– Can be used on multiple parts of the body including the chest, hands, and neck.

*Please keep in mind that results vary and can take about 4-6 weeks to see notable differences.

Who is the ideal VI Peel Candidate?

Most skin types! Actually, it’s one of the safest peels for people with olive, medium, or deep skin tones, who are usually at a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation from chemical peels.

What are the preparations for a VI Peel?

One week before procedure: stop taking prescription retinoids and any products that contain alpha hydroxy acids. Please avoid laser hair removal, electrolysis, waxing, and depilatory creams.

How long is the procedure?

Usually 30 minutes or less. It’s fairly fast and easy!

What should I expect during the procedure?

Our aesthetic nurse will first clean your face with acetone before applying several layers of solution. The majority of our clients will report that they felt some tingling or burning during their application, but that the feeling is tolerable and doesn’t last long. After the application, you should not feel any pain or discomfort.

After the peel solution absolves into the skin, you will wish to apply sunscreen to protect your skin when you leave our office.

We will instruct you with more instructions during your consultation.

What is in a VI Peel?

All VI Peels are bactericidal that include a pH level between 1.0-2.0. Since the pH levels are so low, no microbes will remain and you will have fewer issues when the procedure is performed.

As for ingredients, VI Peels contain phenol. When Phenol is at 1%, it will be antibacterial and prevent bacteria from coming into contact with your skin. However, when Phenol is at 2%, it will actually kill any existing bacteria.
