What to expect: Regenerative Aesthetics:

Vampire Facials, Hair Restoration, Breast Augmentation, Microneedling, 24K Gold Microchannelling with the use of PRP, Peptides, Stem Cell Growth Factor solutions, and/or Vitamins.

Pre-procedure care:

If you are taking any NSAIDs (like aspirin or ibuprofen), Vitamin E, Omega-3s, or any other supplement that you have the propensity to bleed easily while on, as well as topical retinoids, please stop 2 days prior to treatment.

If you are taking a blood thinner, we advise you to ask your doctor if you may discontinue your medication for 72 hours prior to the treatment.

Avoid excess sun exposure to the area being treated for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Notify provider of allergies (to medications, latex, etc.) and anxiety (about injections, procedures, etc.). Hydrate well for 3-7 days before procedure.

Avoid smoking for at least 3 (preferably 7) days before procedure, and avoid alcohol for the day prior to the procedure, as it can inhibit healing.

Please inform Enliven Aesthetics if you have a history of cold sores (HSV), so a provider can prescribe you the antiviral medication.

For cold sore sufferers getting a facial, take anti-viral medication the day before, the day of, and the day after treatment.

Procedure day:

  • Take prescribed medication, if applicable.
  • For hair restoration PRP, wash hair and scrub scalp the morning of treatment.

Post-procedure care and Expectations:

Initial bleeding can occur but should resolve within 24 hours.

Minor redness and swelling may occur for 1-2 days.

Minor peeling and flakiness can occur after a few days. Do not pick at the loose skin, as this may cause permanent scarring.

Avoid direct sun and heat to treated area for 2 weeks (including gardening, cooking over a hot stove for long periods of time, sitting next to a fireplace or bonfire, hot baths, saunas, etc.). When outside, use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days.

For Facials: Do not use make-up for at least 24 hours; do not use Alpha-Hydroxy products on face for 5 days post-procedure. Resume home care regimen when skin no longer flakes or peels.

Use hydrating and reparative products (peptides, antioxidants, stem cells, vitamins A, C, and E etc.). Drink plenty of water.

Use acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain instead of NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory medications), since these will inhibit healing. In regenerative therapy, inflammation is necessary for proper healing.

Limit alcohol and smoking for 3 days, as they negatively impact the healing process. Following hair regrowth treatments, do not wash hair and scalp for 24-48 hours. Wait 2 weeks before coloring hair.

To reach our goals (collagen of face, hair regrowth), more than one treatment may be necessary. Discuss the protocol with your aesthetic provider.
