Meet Carol Bender of Enliven Aesthetics
Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Bender. Them and their team shared their story with us below:
In 2009, Carol earned dual Bachelor’s Degrees of Science in Economics and Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and School of Nursing. In 2009, Carol co-founded LifeNet International (LN), a social enterprise in Burundi, Africa. From 2009 to 2011, Carol developed her clinical skills as a nurse at the University Medical Center of Princeton in NJ. In 2011, Carol returned to Burundi to serve as the Medical Director of LifeNet International.
In 2013, Carol completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and became board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Since 2013, Carol worked as an NP in five Emergency Departments and in the Temecula Valley Advanced Medicine (TVAM) Center in Murrieta, CA. Through this experience, she learned the powerful, life-changing results of regenerative aesthetic medicine, starting with using growth factors from the blood (called PRP) for rejuvenating the face and sexual wellness.
In 2016, Carol founded her clinic Joy Wellness Partners with the vision of making high-quality regenerative medicine available to more individuals in San Diego. Soon thereafter, her clients were requesting aesthetics services, and in May 2019, her med spa Enliven Aesthetics was born!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We were challenged by the Covid-19 regulations that prevented our med spa from operating in 2020, but we are bouncing back in 2021 with passion!
